Development of A Laboratory Test Setup for the Performance Evaluation of Subsurface Communication Techniques Utilizing Resonant Magnetic Coupling In the Near Field 

Experimental verification of subsurface (in soil, mud etc.) communication links is difficult as such experiments require time-consuming excavations. The laboratory set up to be developed is a hybrid method combining electromagnetic (EM) simulations and actual transmitter and receiver hardware. In this approach, the attenuation experienced by EM waves is obtained through simulations, and this information is then combined with actual hardware.
